State Census records can be helpful because they were often taken during years between the Federal Censuses (which are taken every ten years beginning with 1790). The items listed here include the "semidecennial censuses" taken by Colorado, Dakota Territory, Florida, Nebraska, and New Mexico Territory in 1885.
